Plant Powered
This is a work in progress!
For a while I've been highlighting the work of Harvard nurses and other epidemiological studies, as well as the work contained in The China Study to family. These projects indicate a high protein, predominantly animal, diet, in conjunction with dairy, is killing us.
My family greets this with a mixture of skepticism, outright hostility, or with a “there, there, have a cup of tea and a lie down.”
That all changed when the WHO released it's findings on processed meat.
But still, there is a large amount of hostility to the idea we should reduce our meat intake and reduce our farming of animals. If nothing else it's better for the planet and in the end means we won't stuff the planet even more.
I realise this kind of theme is tiresome, and people need a feel-good story in these dark times.
The good news is, there's only upside.
